We are so much more than just a food pantry…..
The Bixby Outreach Center is dedicated to battling food insecurity in our community by providing essential support to individuals and families facing difficult times. With a mission rooted in dignity and compassion, the BOC serves as a lifeline for those in need, offering food, resources, and hope during some of the most challenging moments of their lives – all thanks to our generous volunteers and supporters.
The BOC is here to be a “hand up”! When families have nowhere to turn, the BOC offers support, warmth, and hope. We provide food appointments every 30 days and limited financial assistance, along with holiday food distributions and our annual Back-to-School Bash for families with children.
The BOC currently serves residents of Bixby, Kiefer, Leonard, Haskell, Beggs, and Liberty Mounds.
Food Pantry
Clients can make same-day appointments to shop our food pantry every 30 days. We receive food through the USDA food distribution program, donations from local grocery stores, and private donations.
Guest-Choice
Our guest-choice model allows clients to select their own foods as they would in a grocery store, allowing them to cater to individual health and dietary needs.
Home Delivery
For homebound clients and seniors in assisted living, we provide a monthly food delivery service.
Break Bags
When school is not in session, each school-aged child in our service area is eligible to receive a Break Bag of food every week.
Holiday Groceries
In addition to our regular pantry, we provide groceries for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, including turkey, sides, dessert, etc.
Back-to-School Bash
Each year, the BOC partners with the Bixby Police Department and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office to provide school-aged children with school supplies and other necessities.
