Introducing Our New Program Coordinator, Danielle Adkins:
After working as a Senior Data Analyst for many years, I decided that I wanted to help others and work toward building better communities. With the support of my husband, Kenneth, I left my Senior Data Analyst position and went back to school. Now I am an Oklahoma State University graduate with two bachelor’s degrees in health education and promotion. Since graduation, I have been working for a non-profit organization building programs that are geared toward helping families and children become self-sufficient. I am looking forward to the opportunity to be a part of the Bixby Outreach Center team. I feel that my experience and knowledge will help enhance the impact B.O.C. does within the community.
If there is one thing that can be said about how I view the world, it is that I have a fondness for all life. For many years and even now, I dream of having a several acre yard so that I may have a big garden, chickens, pigmy goats and alpacas. In my spare time, I like to work in my garden at home, cooking, baking and spending time with friends and family; while always trying to convince them to start gardens in their backyards. For my volunteer time, I am a Master Gardener and Master Composter through the OSU Extension.
