New Volunteer Coordinator – Mandy Blaich
We want to give a warm welcome to our new Volunteer Coordinator, Mandy Blaich. Mandy is a familiar face at the BOC having been a committed volunteer for 3 years. We’re excited to have Mandy as part of our staff!
“Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself as your new volunteer coordinator! I have been a volunteer with the BOC for approximately 3 years and have worked in the pantry, grab and go, front desk and as an interviewer. I have worked alongside many of you but am really looking forward to getting to know those I have never met. My family and I have called Bixby our home for four years in March, but before that, we have lived in western Oklahoma, New Hampshire, and Indiana. Shawn and I have been married 17 years. We have two girls, Lexi who is 16 and a sophomore at BHS (and loves to volunteer at the BOC as much as her momma), and Katie who is 13 and an 8th grader at BMS. We also have 2 dogs who we adore and 2 cats who tolerate us as long as we give them treats. When not serving at the BOC, you will find me walking around Washington Irving park (I just completed a half marathon with my fellow volunteer and friend Amy) reading, traveling and watching movies with my girls. I am looking forward to serving the wonderful people of this community alongside you and getting to know you!”
